 Any Questions?

What makes your coffee different?

Kind Kick is speciality single origin coffee that happens to be very low in caffeine. The Swiss Water® Process decaffeination keeps the flavour, so you get all of the taste with only a fraction of the caffeine.

How much caffeine is really in it?

Our beans are decaffeinated using the Swiss Water® Process, which removes at least ninety nine percent of the caffeine. A cup of Kind Kick will usually have only a few milligrams of caffeine compared with around seventy to one hundred and forty in a regular cup.

Is it chemical free?

No coffee is literally free of chemicals, but our decaffeination method does not add any solvent chemicals to the beans. Only water, temperature and time are used.

What is the Swiss Water decaf process?

It is a decaffeination method that removes caffeine using only water, temperature and time, with no added decaffeination solvents. It is designed to protect flavour and cut caffeine.

Can I drink decaf coffee during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Decaf coffee such as Kind Kick contains only a small amount of caffeine, so it usually fits more easily within the usual two hundred milligram daily limit in pregnancy. Always follow the advice of your midwife, general practitioner or health visitor about what is right for you.

Is decaf better if I feel anxious or jittery after coffee?

If regular coffee makes you feel wired, restless or brings on palpitations, decaf is often a gentler choice because it contains far less caffeine. It is not a treatment for anxiety or heart problems, so speak to a health professional if you have ongoing symptoms.

Is decaf good or bad for me compared with regular coffee?

For most people both regular and decaf coffee can sit comfortably in a balanced diet. Decaf keeps much of the flavour and natural compounds of coffee while turning the caffeine right down.

Does decaf taste good?

Yes, when it starts with good beans and a good process. Kind Kick uses speciality single origin coffees that are chosen because they still taste great after decaffeination.

What grind size do I need?

Cafetiere likes a coarse grind, pour over usually prefers medium, moka pot suits medium fine and espresso calls for a fine grind. If in doubt, tell your grinder or coffee shop what you brew with and they can match it.

How should I store my coffee?

Keep your bag sealed and store it in a cool, dry, dark place. For longer storage you can freeze whole beans in a sealed bag and grind just before brewing.

Why do people switch from regular coffee to decaf?

People switch to decaf to sleep better, feel calmer, stay within caffeine limits in pregnancy or simply enjoy more cups without the buzz. Kind Kick is made for exactly those moments.
